I had promised you this long ago but was having trouble with my computer, I will try to share a few e-mail in which I sent to friends of a few accounts, of being on the movie set around Ewan for those two weeks at the first of March.

2/28/03 Hey gals I have to tell you about my very exciting evening! I got off the puter around 7.30 p.m. this evening to talk to my 21yr old son. When I did this he checked our voice mail. I noticed a sort of strange look came over him and he handed the phone over to me---which to say the least already had me shaken. Well girls, I listened for a bit and then let a loud shriek .........

Of delightment, the casting office of Big Fish had call at 7.13 p.m. to tell Josh (my son) that he is going to be a paid extra in the 1950 Cirrus part of the filming, Ain't that GREAT, I was so Thrilled. I think I was more excited by it then he was! He called and he has to be there tomorrow evening at 6.30 pm for a fitting. He's not going to leave this House without his dear sweet mother (who sent his pictures into them in the first place...with his permission of course!) I told him he had a good chance of being called because they needed alot of men for the film. They said they need him from Mar.3 thru the 7th and then Mar.10 thru the 13th. Surely between this time (2weeks) being there I'll get my chance to see and talk to Ewan. He asked the casting person if he could have anyone with him at times ,yea one person, and you ALL know who that's going to be . Oh My God Am In Heaven. It's probably just a wee little part, they asked if he had any questions , the little twit, asked if he could ask them after he got there, probably just some sort of spectator,or something like that .....but who cares it a chance in a life time for him. I'm so Happy for him, that he's
actually going to have this chance to be a part and share in a small way with something this Big. Wish me Luck ,girls OOOh Brenda, if you get a chance ,maybe we can meet up down there and chat some. I do know the 1st week will be inside , the 2nd will be filming outside. It's going to cost me a small fortune, but my BaBy worth it. It's going to be an 9hr+ drive tomorrow,so I've have to finish packing. Have I told y'all how really excited
I am??? HAHA I'll try to get in touch if I'm able and dish you some news if at all possible. HMMMM..... De.....HMMMMM...Hmmmm

5/07/03 Roby, I knew there had to be a fabulous face to go with the wit and humor, you look fantastic! I'm glad you still enjoy me recanting my stories of being on the set of Big Fish, it was by far the most enchanting time I've had in my life for a long time! My little piece of heaven on earth
so to speak! Oh, and this morning brought back fresh memories of the very first time I saw Ewan on the set , that morning we were not due to be on set until 7:00am. We got at the location and parked the car, and instead of riding the van that shuttled us up to the set the boys and I chose to walk over,cause that would give us the opportunity to walk pass all the tents and holding cages for the animals, and also the actors trailers. Once
we got up to that point we stood there for a few moments,cause I had told Josh that Brenda had stated that Ewan had a Black Dodge Ram Truck,....well as boys will be boys Josh stood there at this one trailer that had one sitting in front of it( but it wasn't black it was a really dark two tone pewter grayish black monster of a truck) admiring it , I was telling Josh that I didn't believe that one was Ewan's when low and behold who
walk out of the trailer looking drop dead gorgeous in a black shirt and unbuttoned down to about the 3rd button, black jeans, and black boots,(the way he looked this morning on Regis except for the shoes,white socks and jewelry, plus his hair was a little shorter and darker) with coffee thermos
in hand, came over and started speaking to Josh, Cody piped up and said," Good Moring " to Ewan leaving me standing there at the back of the truck in AWE, and weak in the knees. I just sorta melted and got totally lost for a few moments, I couldn't believe that Ewan was there standing directly
over from me, looking so incredibly sexy that early in the morning, and that my luck was just getting better and better! I couldn't speak (where the hell did my voice go?!) my knees felt like rubber, (I dared not move out of the spot I was in for fear of falling on my face!)what wrong with me???
The only other time I had had this feelings , I was on stage in college in front of an auditorium full of people, getting ready to do an impromptu comical skit, I recovered more quickly then than I was at this moment.(and I thought that had been a weird feeling, never had quite forgotten it,
but it was only a shadow of what I was now feeling)......Anyways, Josh being mannerly, introduced me as his mother, and Ewan gentlely squeezed
my hand and bent over and briefly kissed my cheek. OOOh, and that voice, the accent, I think I just actually just turned into a puddle of drool!
And like you said,I 'm still in LaLa Land, I still have not come down from the high just being around Him gave me. He rocked My world!!! Sweet Memories,

4/5/03 There was this scene he did, while the kids and I was down there,I know that it probably won't take up more than 10 to 2o seconds in the movie, but they work on it most of the day, before lunch it was Ewan putting his head in a animated lion's mouth, I was sitting slightly over to the
left side of the guy that has the thingy that hooks up to camera leads and I was his focal point, each and very time he did this his eyes searched
me out, and stared at me, he was such a tease! Take after take he was doing this to me, oh those eyes! Then after lunch we were back on the set except this time it was with a REAL lion, which by the way was just such a big pussy cat, anyway Ewan had to stand in front of the lion while the trainers tried to make it growl and open up it mouth, it was a little comical at first cause Ewan really wasn't sure about the lion, and he had to stand in front with his back to it. I didn't sit exactly there I had in the morning (I as behind the scenes so that didn't matter, but after a few takes Carlos one of Tim Asst.( and a very cute guy himself ) came and ask me if I minded sitting there I had sat at (the same spot )I had that morning, Then for the rest of the afternoon there I was being Ewan focal point again , over and over again because the trainers had trouble getting the lion to respond correctly, those eyes, those looks , the smiles, are burned into my mind ever I just wish I cound have taken pictures to!!!! (but that was not allowed on set.) Afterwards, He came over and spoke to the Giant which was sitting at the end of the bleacher but close to me then he turned to me ask asked how I was joying the film so far. and we talk for a bit then I walk with him back up to the Extras tent chatting.( he did this alot ..walk I mean, instead of being driven. ) That day was bliss!!! Hope that I have not bored you with this, but you are the only one I know who knows how it really feels to look into those beatuiful eyes of his, personally, and how mesmerizing it can be!!! ...........TaTa

4/7/03 Hey there! Well Kate , I guess I was much like your mate was upon meeting Ewan, there's been nothing quite like it!!! And to be as lucky as to spend go much time with him(we was on set for 2wks.) was like being in a dream,except this dream was REAL ! Ewan is very nice, smiling most of the time, funny,warm he was very social with us, he even managed to make me feel very special!! On the next to the last day of filming that peculiar scene, I dropped off the boys on the set and then went on over to Wetumpka. Spending 14 hours everyday on the set,did not afforded any time for any sightseeing . So I decided to so over to see the house , the bridge and also to pick up some t-shirts for the boys that had been made there in Wetumpka. During my absence, Ewan had noticed that I hadn't been present on the set that morning and asked Josh (my eldest son) "Where's your Mum, I haven't seen her around this morning" ooohh, to be missed by Ewan McGregor , truly , made me feel ,very ,very special indeed!!! Cody (the youngest one) said Carlos and Adam(Tim's assitant directors) had asked him the same thing! I would have never thought I had made that strong of an impression on them to be concerned about me or my whereabouts! Truly shocking!!! It put butterflies in my stomach and made me tingle throughout my whole body when I spoke to him later that day. He's just a regular guy, a charmer, a bit of a tease(I think this came mostly from a scheme cooked up by Josh,to make me squirm and feel a wee bit uncomfortable in his presence!) His always smiling and laughing and his expressions speaks volumns, In less words, He is totally nothing less than, Spellbinding!!! I hope that you to, someday, will have the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Ewan, it's an awesome experience. Your weekend trip sounded nice. I think I left a wee bit of my heart there, even though I was very young when we moved back to the States, a part of me is always yearning to be back there. Oh well maybe someday that wish will also come true. ...............

Roberta, Yes I have thanked God for answering my prayers,eveyday, it was a dream and now I know dreams do come true! At the 1st of February I had been in touch with Brenda about trying to meet up with her down in Montgomery the time I believe she got that autograph on that picture You adore so much of him but there was a death in the family followed by my son having to use my car, I had almost given up hopes in getting to go, So when we got the call from Janell from the casting office I was elated!!! And What luck!!! They wanted him for( 2 whole weeks!!!)absolutely elation. I had one fear though, even though I enjoyed watching Ewan tremendously, after watching take , after take, after take ,it takes some of the magic away from the movie, or I was afraid that it would, I was a afraid that when I watched one of his films after I got home ,I would be cutting them down into their individual takes and the magic of the film would be gone, I am happy to say that fear was unfounded, and I have even a greater admiration for his work! Actually even though there are a few more stories I could tell---they are just mere snipets compared to those I've told. He is very delightful though and sincere and never seemed to busy to stop to say hi, and exchange a few words, or give me a wave, or a smile and a wink (he really enjoys being a tease and a flirt!) if he catches you watching. He makes you feel that he's genuinely interested in what you have to say. He actually managed to fine out more about me and the boys, and where I was from,than I did about Him! ..........

There was more incidents , but I must have deleted them, but Ill end with this one : I don't reember which day it was I think it was on the second or third day of the shoot, I was in search of my son Cody (he 12 yrs. and they wanted him to) they had a classroom set up in another tent for the kids on set and they were required to do 3 hrs of schooling, of course if they were needed on the set then they would go on down and I was suppose to accompany him when he was on set because of his age . Well I was walking forward at the same time talking to Adam, that had just came up from the set and he was telling me that Cody had already been down on the set and they were going to be practicing some more freeze frame shoots, Will low and behold I kept on a walking forward while having been told this by Adam( one of Tim asstistant director ),and seeing him point down towards the set which was there I was heading ,but at the same moment as I was turning my head toward , I run into a barrier which almost caused me to fall. I had ran smack dab into Ewan and he caught me by both upper arms to steady me, such strong hands and long fingers, the touch was electrifing!! I apologied feeling very foolish, OOh those eyes and that smile just makes you melt and weak in the knees and I'm glad that I did have
his hands to steady me when I gazed up into them, he had left them on my arms until he got an answer to if I was alright ,cause I had sorta creeled my ankle as I stumbled, "Yeah, I'm fine, I'm so sorry I ran into you like that , I should have been paying more attention than that!! (are you kidding I'm not fine , I'm seriously having a heartattack here!!) "No problem, My pleasure actually, your son is down on the set and he was concerned about me early , I was having a chase after that pig and had to take several falls to the ground and he was concerned that I had hurt my shoulder." At this time I notice 3 scratches on his right cheek(not real) and he explained that him and Devito's character have a fight and he (Devito) turns into a werewolf and that Tim was going out and filming Danny running around in the woods naked that afternoon. (haha) Now I don't know how true this is , are if it will be in the film or he was just joking with me, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Anyway whose two weeks being with him and in his presence was glorious and beyond belief, it was my piece of Heaven!!! And I hated to see it come to an end , there is just so much energy in the air around him and everybody seems happy and alive and in such good moods.

I have trully been blessed by being able to have spend so much time with him!!!!!!!!!
